Michigan Sauce

Here in Upstate New York we love michigan sauce on hot dogs.  It's a summer staple! This is a tried and true recipe that has yet to disappoint.  Absolutely delicious!

MICHIGAN SAUCE

1 pound hamburger
2 Medium Onions
4 tablespoons of Butter
4 Tablespoons of Vinegar
4 Tablespoons of Brown Sugar
8 Tablespoons of Lemon Juice
1 Tablespoon of Mustard
2 Cups of Ketchup
6 Tablespoons of Worcestershire Sauce
Salt and Pepper to taste


Brown Hamburger and saute cut up onions in butter.  Add remaining ingredients and simmer until sauce thickens.

Honestly at first I seriously disliked Eleanor. I kept thinking "What on earth is wrong with this woman?" But I kept reading. And I am SO GLAD I did. I loved this book. It was an emotional roller coaster; ups and downs, hating and loving Eleanor. I could not put it down. I cannot wait to read more from Gail Honeyman.
