DIY Wooden Signs

Saw these on pinterest and I fell in love.  I happened to have some old wood shelves that we weren't using and so I had my husband cut them up into 8 × 10 pieces.

Materials needed for this project:

Wood
Images printed on a laser printer
Gel medium
Foam brushes
Mod Podge

First, you will need to print the image that you want to use. I have an ink jet printer, and believe me when I tell you that it will not work using an ink jet. So print out your image in reverse (image needs to be reversed to transfer to the wood) using your inkjet and then take it somewhere to have it copied. Copiers use laser printing. Now, if you have a laser printer forget all that i just said and go ahead and use your printed image.
Next you apply gel medium to the wood, and lay your image down on the wood (image side down). Gently press down and smooth any air bubbles or creases in the image.  Let sit overnight. I tried to remove it after a few hours and it did not work! So overnight, just to be safe.
Now you can remove your image.  Using a wet washcloth or sponge (i found the sponge worked a bit better) gently rub the paper off the wood.  Your image will remain on the wood. Once all the paper is removed, let it dry and apply thin layer of mod podge to seal it.

DIY Burlap Wreath

I love these burlap wreaths. They are so easy to make and can be changed out for each season.

Homemade Dog Treats

Awesomely delicious (for the doggies anyway) Dog Treats! Our German Shepherd, Sasha loves these and the flax seeds in them help with her dry, itchy skin. So that's a plus :)

1 Banana, mashed
3 Tablespoons of creamy peanut butter
1 Egg
1 3/4 Whole wheat flour (or whatever kind you want to use)
1/2 Cup of flax seeds

Pre-heat oven to 300 degrees.

Mix together banana, peanut butter and egg. Mix well.

Add flour and flax seeds. Mix again.

Roll out dough (it will be sticky, so I used wax paper with a lot of flour on it) and cut with cookie cutter.

Place on cookie sheet and bake for 30 - 40 mintues or until golden brown.

When done allow cookies to cool and place in an air tight container.  They should keep for about 2 weeks.
Enjoy!
