Venison Stew

I love fall because I love making stews and big hearty meals that we don't normally eat all summer long. Well it's not fall yet, actually it's supposed to be 91 degrees here today. But that's all the more reason to use the crock pot. It's too damn hot to be using the oven or stove. So venison stew it is!!

Ingredients :

Vension , cut up into chunks
4 large potatoes, cut into chunks
1 bag of baby carrots
1 package of sliced mushrooms
Onion, sliced (use as much or as little as you like, depends on your taste)
2 tablespoons of minced garlic
1 box of beef broth (enough to cover all the ingredients)
Salt/pepper

Cook on low for about 8 hours.

Enjoy!!

Gallery Wall

I kept seeing gallery walls all over pinterest and I love them. Decided to do one of my own on our dining room wall using all the great newborn photos we had taken of Aria. Such a great way to display photos without it looking to uniform and boring.

Freezer Meals

I wanted to make a bunch of freezer meals before the baby is born to hopefully make life a little easier for us after she is here.  Not having to worry about what to cook for dinner is an awesome thing! I really should do this once a month anyways, it is a time and money saver.

I enlisted the help of my mother and my sister to get these meals together :)

We made:  Barbecue Hawaiian Chicken
                  Scalloped Potatoes and Ham
Sausage, Potatoes and Green Bean Bake
                  Marinated London Broil
Marinated Pork Chops (2 different kinds)
                  Chicken Fajitas
                  Stuffed Shells
                  Spaghetti

Some recipes were doubled to get to meals.

All recipes can be found on my Pinterest boards.

Bathroom re-do continued...

I painted the wood cabinets white for a newer, fresher look. So easy and it really brightens up the room.  I primed them first, then used a semi-gloss paint.  Also bought new drawer pulls to update the look.

The Nursery...

The nursery is really coming along now, we have gotten quite a bit of decorating done!

DIY Nursery Crafts

My mother, my sister and I got together and had a craft day! We made some really cute things for Aria's room.  We made an elephant mobile, closet dividers, covered all the outlet and light switch covers with scrapbook paper and put some cute animals on top of mason jars. I also painted wooden letters to make her name to hang over the crib.

We used paint chip cards for the mobile, cut into the shape of elephants and hung it from a loop with hemp cord.

Cut circles out of cardboard and glued scrapbook paper over them to make the dividers.

Spray painted the tops of the mason jars silver, then super glued the animals to the tops. These will hold cotton balls, q-tips, etc...
